For producers looking to create, arrange and finish tracks without being tethered to a computer, the Akai MPC One G2 is designed to deliver everything they need in a compact, standalone workstation.
It’s true.
During a visit to Patchwerk Recording Studios in Atlanta, Akai Pro Creative A&R Director Andy Mac explains how the Akai MPC One G2’s upgraded processing power brings your production workflow to a whole new level.
“For anyone making beats or producing music who wants to be completely untethered from a DAW, this new-generation MPC One G2 gives you the power you'd expect from a computer, but everything you need is inside the MPC One hardware,” says Mac. “Plus, there are so many leading plug-ins and high-quality sounds at your fingertips. It’s the perfect device for anyone starting out on their production journey, as well as for professionals.”
A New Generation of MPC Performance
At the heart of the MPC One G2 is an upgraded 8-core processor that powers everything from plug-in instruments and audio tracks to advanced production tools, such as stem separation and time stretching. The standalone MPC One G2 also features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, allowing users to work with large projects, sample libraries and plug-ins without relying on a computer.
Built for Beat Makers
The MPC platform has long been synonymous with beat production, and the MPC One G2’s 16 velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads remain central to the experience, allowing creators to build drum patterns, trigger samples and perform and/or layer melodies. A large multi-touch display provides quick access to editing, mixing and arrangement tools, and fully assignable Q-Link controls make it easy to manipulate effects and automate parameters in real time.

Slice and Dice Samples Into Unique Grooves and Melodies
The MPC One G2 inspires you to make beats really fast using its Sample Chop feature. Producers can divide a sample into playable slices and assign them across the MPC pads. Then, you can manipulate pitch, stretch audio and create entirely new compositions from existing material.
Power for Stage and Studio
The G2 multicore processor delivers four times the power of the first-generation Akai MPC One. USB-C connectivity means you can stream 24 audio channels and 32 MIDI channels to and from a DAW in standalone mode, as well as sample from USB-C devices (iOS and Android) and work with USB-C flash drives and other devices. Furthermore, you can deploy Pro Stems (license required) and Clip Launching and real-time Super Timestretch (Pro Pack required). The MPC One G2 also supports CV/Gate connectivity for controlling modular synthesizers and other hardware.
