Eventide H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 | Exploring Cinematic Guitar Sounds and Creative Possibilities

Eventide H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 | Exploring Cinematic Guitar Sounds and Creative Possibilities
Michael Molenda

Grammy-nominated guitarist and producer Nicholas Veinoglou demonstrates how the Eventide H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 delivers ambient textures and experimental vistas—all from a single compact multi-effects pedal.

In this exclusive Guitar Center demo, Veinoglou explores the H9 Gen 2's expansive library of reverbs, delays, harmonizer effects, synth sounds and modulation effects while sharing how the H9 Gen 2 can guide players from conventional tones to captivating new sounds.

"Normally, I would need five or six different pedals to achieve the wide range of effects I look for,” says Veinoglou. “But the H9 has everything already baked in."

One Pedal, Countless Creative Possibilities

"The Eventide H9 Gen 2 has so many different built-in effects," explains Veinoglou. "Reverbs, delays, granular synth sounds—you can truly push the limits of what you would ever think possible with an effects unit by using this pedal. For me, it's kind of my secret weapon in the studio."

Exploring Presets and Building New Sounds

"This pedal makes it so easy to go exploring for different tones," says Veinoglou.

To demonstrate, Veinoglou runs through a few patches, such as Just a Phase (phase shifter), Slow Burn (“MangledVerb” preset with overdrive), Echospace 51 (delay and reverb) and Mono Horns (synth algorithm).

"The H9 Gen 2 is going to make you play stuff you never really thought of playing," he says. "It's really kind of an ever-expanding pedal."
