Electric Guitar for Beginners

Electric Guitar for Beginners

Are electric guitars good for beginners?

Electric guitars have many features that are naturally suited for beginners. Foremost, they are easier to play than acoustic guitars because the strings are easier to press down. This makes playing chords less painful for beginners that have not developed calluses on their fingers yet and especially for children that may struggle with the strength required to press down strings. Related, electric guitars are also thinner and smaller, making them ideal for kids as well and adults that may have physical discomfort from larger acoustic guitars. Note that electric guitars can be played without amplification at quieter volumes than acoustic guitars. And, these days, there are many affordable small amps and even headphone amps that sound great too.
