More fun than any other guitar I've played.

Bought this guitar to jam with while I was living in NY for a month, because it was the cheapest guitar they had and the color jumped out at me. And my god, does it ever rip. All the pickups on this have an incredibly big, detailed 70's rock solo kind of sound- you can hear every tiny sound the strings make and any emotion you have be it good or bad will cry outta this thing if you run it though some high gain pedals. It doesn't get as warm as I'd like with the tone knob way down but these pickups are extremely hot with it all the way up. I like playing modern heavy metal and the humbucker on this thing shakes the earth enough to get the devil himself screaming at you to stop. I have another guitar with two active Fishman Fluence pickups which used to be my main metal guitar, but now that I've heard this guitar that thing sounds processed and lifeless to me. This is a mini guitar, but it doesn't seem to notice. It's beautiful to look at, the build quality is excellent. It stays in tune but you have to tighten the tuning pegs a little. The humbucker wobbles back and forth if you push it. Mine came wobbled towards the bridge (the strings are further from the pickup at the bridge, it slopes down towards it), it's easy to just push it flat again and it will stay flat, but I ended up wobbling it back as I found the slope made the sound even hotter. This just the most fun guitar I've ever played hands down, I was getting bored of playing guitar and this thing has relit my fire. I own thousands of dollars worth of guitars from Squier to Strandberg and this is by far my favorite guitar. The fact that it was only a hundred bucks is just insane to me. I love this guitar.

Not the worst starter Guitar, but others are better

I own this Mitchell TD100 and a Fender mini Strat The Fender mini Strat is more expensive, but stays in tune better than the Mitchell. additionally, due to how this Mitchell's frets are positioned, the guitar plays slightly out of tune as soon as one puts one's fingers on the fret board. For the price, it may still be something to consider since new players may not notice how the guitar is out of tune once one one's hand touches frets. However, for around $50 more the Fender mini Strat is a tad bit better made.

I've had this guitar for about 2 years, and it is the guitar I started learning with, and it works very well. I would recommend it for beginners, or other girls who have small hands. It works well, my only complaints are that it comes out of tune EXTREMELY easily, I have to retune basically every play, and also the tone isn't too good, but that's what you'd expect for a guitar this cheap.

Even the staff at Guitar Center couldn't get it into tune, so we had to return it and buy another one. I guess you get what you pay for, but this was for an 8-year-old kid so we didn't want to go too high until he gets into it. We bought a Squier and are totally satisfied. It pays to go into the store and try them out first. #sweepstakes
