With a reported more than 1 million units sold worldwide, the Blackstar Fly 3 has earned its place as one of the most successful compact guitar amps ever created. The Fly 3 High Gain builds on that legacy with the feature players requested most: more gain. Inspired by Blackstar's acclaimed Series One Mk II amplifiers, this 3W portable combo introduces a three-channel design with Clean, Overdrive and a new Nitro mode that adds an extra gain stage for crushing saturation, tight low-end punch and articulate modern distortion. A custom-voiced 3" full-range speaker, patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) tone control and built-in digital delay give players a surprising amount of tone-shaping power, while battery or DC operation keeps it ready for home practice, travel and backstage warmups. With AUX input, emulated line/headphone output and extension speaker connectivity, the Fly 3 High Gain delivers serious high-gain tone in the ultra-portable format that made the original a global favorite.
The Fly 3 High Gain expands the original Fly platform with three distinct channels designed to cover a wide range of tones. Clean and Overdrive modes provide everything from pristine practice sounds to classic rock crunch, while the new Nitro mode pushes the amp firmly into modern high-gain territory. By adding an extra gain stage, Nitro delivers increased saturation, tighter low-end response and enhanced clarity for high-output pickups, making it especially well suited for aggressive rhythm playing, soaring leads and down-tuned styles. Whether dialing in subtle breakup or full-on distortion, the Fly High Gain offers impressive tonal range from a remarkably compact amplifier.
Despite its small footprint, the Fly 3 High Gain was engineered to emit big sound. A custom-voiced 3" full-range speaker delivers impressive projection and clarity, while the 3W design provides plenty of volume for practice, warm-ups and backstage sessions. Battery or DC operation makes it easy to take anywhere, whether you're practicing at home, traveling light or keeping a reliable amp close at hand between gigs. The result is a highly portable solution that never sacrifices the feel and responsiveness players expect from a dedicated guitar amplifier.
Blackstar's patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) gives players access to a broad range of tonal character from a single control. Turn one direction for tighter, more aggressive American-style voicings or the other for warmer, more mid-focused British-inspired tones. Complementing the amp's core sound is a built-in digital delay that adds depth, ambience and dimension without requiring additional pedals. Together, these features allow the Fly High Gain to move effortlessly between focused modern aggression and more spacious, atmospheric textures.
The Blackstar Fly 3 High Gain mini amp includes everything you need for practice, recording and casual listening. An AUX input allows you to jam along with backing tracks, playlists or lessons, while the emulated line out/headphone output makes silent practice and direct recording simple and effective. An extension speaker output provides the option for a larger stereo setup, expanding the amp's sound beyond its compact enclosure. Whether practicing quietly at home, jamming backstage or dialing in heavy tones on the go, the Fly High Gain delivers the flexibility and performance that have made the Fly Series a worldwide success.
