Fender Fullerton Telecaster Acoustic-Electric Ukulele - Lake Placid Blue

The Fender Fullerton ukulele series pays tribute to Fender’s iconic electric guitar body shapes. It departs from the traditional ukulele build and looks while staying true to Fender’s history. Down to the Telecaster ukulele’s pickguard, iconic Telecaster shape, signature finish and 4-in-line headstock, it’s a quintessential Fender through and through. The Telecaster acoustic-electric uke features a spruce top with mahogany back and sides, which produces a rich and full concert ukulele tone. It’s also made with a maple neck and walnut fingerboard for excellent playability and response. The Telecaster uke sounds great on its own or when plugged in, thanks to its onboard Fender-designed preamp system.

Fender Fullerton Telecaster Main Features:

  • Mahogany back and sides, laminated spruce top
  • 15.04" scale maple neck, 19-fret walnut fingerboard, walnut bridge, Fender 4-in-line headstock
  • Sealed nickel tuning machines, Fender-designed preamp system
  • Gloss finish

Spruce and Mahogany Tonewoods

Constructing this concert ukulele into the classic Fender Telecaster shape are spruce and mahogany tonewoods. With a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, this Fender Fullerton Tele uke creates a rich and full concert ukulele tone. The classic Fender Telecaster changed the course of music history, and was based on the first mass-produced solidbody electric guitar.

Classic Fender Headstock

The headstock on the Fender Fullerton Tele ukulele replicates the Fender Telecaster guitar’s iconic headstock shape, giving it an authentic Fender look. The 15.04" scale neck is constructed from maple with a walnut fingerboard for enhanced playability and response. The no-tie bridge makes string changes easy when compared to traditional ukulele bridges that require special knotting.

Fender-Designed Preamp System

Making the Fender Fullerton Tele even more electric is its Fender-designed, custom-voiced preamp system. This unique preamp incorporates separate volume and tone controls, along with a built-in tuner. Other notable features of the Fender Fullerton Telecaster ukulele include sealed tuning machines, nickel hardware, a no-tie bridge, 1-ply white body binding and 1-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, synthetic bone nut and white dot inlays.

The ukulele is an instrument that is rich with history and tradition. First appearing in Hawaii in the 1800s, the ‘uke' has found a unique home for itself in both traditional and popular music. Artists as diverse as Eddie Vedder, Amanda Palmer, Don Ho, and Jason Mraz have all made use of the ukulele over the years to add a special something to their classic songs. A great starting point for musicians of any age, the uke is an easy to learn instrument that will provide a challenge, as well as musical joy, for years to come. Before you purchase your new ukulele, there are some things you will want to keep in mind. Most importantly, keep in mind that ukuleles come in four main sizes – soprano, which are the smallest and have the highest pitch, concert, which offer a rich mid-range tone, tenor, which features a deep tone and long fret board, and baritone, which produces the lowest uke tones and is tuned differently from its counterparts.

Since each size is unique in tone, having an idea of which sounds work for you will go a long way in determining the right instrument for you. If you're a beginner who is taking their first steps into the world of the uke, you may be interested in picking up a package such as the Rogue Ukulele Starter Pack or the Alfred Teach Yourself to Play Ukulele Complete Starter Pack. Both sets offer an instrument, a carrying case, as well as educational information that will help you learn the basics. There are also starter kits specifically for children, which offer smaller instruments and lessons to help them get the most out of their uke from an early age. If you're an experienced uke player looking to upgrade to a new instrument, you're sure to find it here. From classically fashioned ukuleles to modern acoustic-electric options that let your sweet sounds ring through larger spaces, there are plenty of options for you to choose from.

If you're looking for a great place to start, the Cordoba 15CM Concert Ukulele and Kala Makala Concert Ukulele are two of our most popular and highest rated concert ukes. If you're looking for something unique, like a pineapple-shaped uke, check out the Luna Guitars Tattoo Pineapple Mahogany Soprano Ukulele, which brings authentic island vibe to any ensemble.

Ukuleles are made for performers of all ages and skill levels. With their wonderful tones and adaptable versatility, they make a great addition to your music, both live and on record. With a quality uke, you'll be able to take your listeners away on a warm, magical journey every time you play.
