I put a set in my 70th anniversary MIM Player Stratocaster. They do exactly what the manufacturer says and the description they give regarding the tonal qualities seems to be accurate. They are quiet - I can lean into my computer screen and I don't hear any hum. You can adjust these pickups to be closer to the strings than a standard single coil pickup and the output is higher than single coils. No regrets. There's a good chance I may purchase a second set for one of my other guitars.

These are great sounding pickups but be aware-you will lose almost all of the classic strat sound. I have come to love the sound of these pickups but i wasn't expecting that drastic a change. The red is probably the highest gain pickup I've ever heard. They silver has a really big, balanced tone. The blue is super thick and warm; sounds more like a p90. I recommend doing a 7 way switch mod, the neck and bridge together sound similar to a tale and all three at once sound like a Humber in the neck position. They're not for everyone but if you want a different and modern sound in your strat these are definitely worth it.

  • What an amazing difference!!!!!!

I recently replaced the pickups in my standard stratocaster with a set of three lace gold sensors. Its my main blues guitar. They sounded so good that i decided to buy a set of these blue-silver-red lace pickups as well. I have installed the blue-silver-red set in an 80's Jackson Soloist, then moved them to a custom Ibanez Proline, and then to a Les Paul wired with the red/silver in series as humbucker and the blue as a single coil im the neck position. I literally can NOT get a bad sound out of the lace pickups! The craziest thing is they have absolutely ZERO hum or noise, even in an ushielded control cavity! I will definitely buy two more sets for the other two guitars. I love duncan and dimarzio pickups, but these lace sensors were the best i've ever tried. Very curious about the purple and hot golds, too. The red nails a hot humbucker tone, the silver is funk guitar all day and the blue is hot and mellow without being too dark or muddy. All three are hotter than the gold sensors, which absolutely nail the classic 50's fender tone. I feel stupid for waiting 20 years to try lace pickups. Never knew what i was missing

  • Love it
