I use this with a church modern worship band. Excellent performance right out of the box. It works with electric, acoustic, and bass guitars. Even a bass with active pickups, but your experience may vary. More range than I will ever need. I plug this into a Boss ME80 and to a Fender Stratocaster. Sounds fantastic, no lag, no tone sucking, just a great piece of gear. I recommend the Xvive U2!

Noise response FYI

By Marc

Comments about XVive U2 Guitar Wireless System:

Regarding the noise comment from the prior post...I think I've read that the unit wasn't designed for active pickups/electronics, so maybe that's the issue. A bassist has a youtube video with the same noise issue. Says it's great for passive but has the noise when the active circuit is engaged on the bass. A workaround some have mentioned, is use a short patch cable between it and the bass and then attach it to your strap or belt where it's a bit further away from the active circuit.

Comments about XVive U2 Guitar Wireless System:

Give it four stars because I haven't used it on a gig yet. But it works great in rehearsal. Simple to use, no latency, sounds good, different from a cable but a little amp knob tweaking and all is right. Priced great.

Tried this system on both my Ovation Acoustic and Alvarez Yairi, both worked like a charm. Like the idea of no batteries to replace. Stays charged for hours of use. Easy to plug in to a usb to charge.

Comments about XVive U2 Guitar Wireless System:

The wireless part works as well as anything I've ever used in the past (rackmount samson and line 6 G30) but the price is awesome. I've only taken it to one gig so far and it performed flawlessly.
My only concern is that it's not really built for the rigors of a touring musician. It's all plastic, if someone steps on it, kiss it goodbye. Another concern is that it uses rechargable, built in, batteries.....so much like a cell phone, after about a year or two, I can't see these batteries holding their original full charge. Maybe some of you could crack it open and change the battery, but for the average guy, I think this will only have a useful life of about 2yrs.......we'll see......

Comments about XVive U2 Guitar Wireless System:

I tested the silver Xvive U2 on my Schecter Diamond Series 5 string black cherry bass, into a Avid Eleven rack, into a Universal Audio 8p and Pro Tools 12. I was very happy with the quality of the sound. The range is as advertised. The low end on the 5 string sounds superb. The U2 is a great addition to any LIVE RIG. I appreciate not having to buy batteries and wear a wireless pack. The U2 is really easy to charge and comes with a charging cord. I kept the box it came in because it has nice foam inserts for transporting the gear. Xvive needs to make version with a metal casing. I had a little nightmare of the plastic casing breaking after heavy use! Lastly, I'm the only one in the band with the U2. I have had no experience with radio interference so far. The unit has 4 channels, so I'm hoping we won't have issues when the guitar player gets one. I will update my review.

Comments about XVive U2 Guitar Wireless System:

Very convenient way to go cordless. The wireless system would be greatly improved if you could determine the remaining battery life in the units. Perhaps the can make a version where the receiver can be plugged in to power while it is being used and the transmitter could have replaceable batteries. Still is a lot better than using a body pack. Future guitars and amps should just have bluetooth.

Bought these about a month ago. For me they are perfect. Tone is the same. No latency. Work great.... no problems at all. Use them in a big church on Sunday mornings. Multiple wireless mics etc and no interference. I turn them on at 8am and rehearse until about 9:40. Turn them off and then back on from 10:15 to 11:40. No battery problems at all. Takes about 25 minutes to recharge after this type of use. I've walked all over the auditorium during sound checks..... and the pickup great. I have used wireless rigs before. These are way better simply because you're not wearing a transmitter on your belt. They are REALLY good. I'm playing a 2010 strat delux. Pedal is BOS ME70. It goes direct to the house. I've also used it with a Martin d-41 and Taylor 414C Perfect in each circumstance.

I got one for Christmas and the other guitarist in our band liked it so much he bought one himself. We played out New Years and used these together for the first time. No interference, good sound, no problems. I get some whine but have the Fishman piezo pick-ups in my tele, so that was to be expected. Not too loud and it comes and goes. If I tuck the transmitter up and away from the pick-up it goes away.
