Made of a carbon/nylon composite this 10-pack is created in Pickboy's Edge shape, which is slightly smaller with a sharper point for greater accuracy. The pick is slightly smaller, yet retains the classic portion of Pickboys' standard raindrop pick.

I play tenor banjo, mostly Irish Trad. For a long time I've been Looking for a pick that "feels" right and this one clicked. I must have gone through a couple of dozen pick models through the years but this one have been my go to for the better part of a year. For a .60 mm its rather stiff. But once I got used to it I loved it. It's response communicates to my right hand very effectively. And for a stiff pick it does not seem to tire my hand at all. I dont know if its the carbon fiber composition. New "material" designs have always seemed to be a gimmick to me. But something is different about this pick. I have to say that if it's right for me, it may not be right for somebody else. But I would give it a try, especially if I'm playing melody lines incessantly.

These picks are great, they're jazz size, not too pointy, but not too dull, the grip never wears off. The only reason I ever have to replace them is because I lose them or give them away. Definitely reccomend.

  • very nice pick!

Used to have the (.88) pick years back and haven't seen one at a music store till today online. I used to use this all the time next to the (Dunlop Tortex Jazz .88) and gotta say they're both amazing. For some reason i still remember how they felt & the tip was a little flexible for chords but firm when picking single notes. Gotta get my hands on these again!
