Designed with Zak Starkey these 21" and 22" K Crash Ride cymbals create the wall of sound that Zak needs while playing with The Who. The brilliant finish offers additional high-end sparkle and smoothes out the sound. The cymbal speaks quickly and is excellent for shouldering with the stick. Warranty

Avedis Zildjian Company Warranty Statement
As of October 1, 2009, all Zildjian Cymbals are guaranteed against manufacturer's defects for two (2)
years from the date of original purchase. For warranty claims outside the U.S., contact your local Zildjian
distributor.

Warranty Process
Cymbals that show factory defects within two years of their original purchase are eligible for
examination at our factory. Zildjian experts will evaluate the damage and issue a replacement cymbal
unless it appears the damage is related to improper use or care.

If you believe your cymbal has a factory defect:
1. Contact Zildjian to obtain a Return Authorization number (RA#) via telephone: 781-871-2200.
2. Indicate the location of the damage on the cymbal with a piece of tape.
3. Make a photocopy of your original numbered and dated sales receipt.
4. Carefully package your cymbal. Include your RA# and the photocopy of your sales receipt in the box.
5. Ship the package to:

A cymbal will not be replaced if:
1. It has been misplayed, dropped, played with excessive force or treated abusively.
2. The center hole is worn due to improper stand set-up or abusive play.
3. The cymbal was bought secondhand or used in a lease program.
4. The cymbal has previously been replaced by Zildjian.
5. More than two years have passed since the cymbal was purchased.

Warranty Notes:
• Cost of shipping a damaged cymbal to Zildjian is the customers responsibility.
• Factory evaluations take approximately 4–6 weeks.
• Cymbals that do not meet the warranty guidelines will be returned to the customer.
• Cost of shipping a replacement or damaged cymbal back to the customer will be covered by Zildjian.

Is VERY versatile!

I went in to Guitar Center looking for a crash to accompany my Zildjian 18" A Custom Projection Crash, and guess what i came out with? THIS K Crash/Ride in 21"! This thing is a monster with dynamics that make me cream my pants! It's worth every penny. It's loud when it needs to be, with enough wash to make you dig the groove, and a dark clarity and ping that you'll love more than anything. The bell is a clear BING! with a slight wash, but not too much (you know what i mean). Overall, this K has got it all! Meaning the raunchy crash that projects but with just enough spread for riding. I now have 2 rides! a K Custom 22" Ride, and a K 21" Crash/Ride. It's like i got two cymbals in one... really i mean it. Look into this cymbal, this Crash/Ride is the best Zildjian makes. Its better than the A Crash/Ride FOR SURE!!

From a die hard Zildjian guy!

I was slightly dissapointed in this cymbal. As a crash however, I really liked it! It has a nice dark shimmer with a fairly quick decay. Pairs well with my 17" K dark thin crash. I think it's lacking a little as a primary ride for rock or louder music. It doesn't have the volume or the projection as a ride that I would have liked however it does crash ride decently. I have a feeling it would fit in perfectly in a quieter setting, maybe jazz or chamber music type stuff.

    This crash-ride has very deep harmonic qualities and rides nicely in softer situations. At first, I was a bit reluctant to apply this cymbal to a rock context due to its lower pitch. To my very pleasant surprise, it opens up amazingly, providing a washy crash sound that could hold its own against any rock-oriented crash or crash-ride. I use it for ride work on "clean" parts of songs and when the distortion pedals get stomped, I can crash it pretty hard and it holds its own in the mix.

    This is a very versatile cymbal. I like to crash my rides and ride my crashes, and when you can find a cymbal that sounds good at both, you have a winner. I use it more as a crash and a secondary ride. I gave it four stars because when you ride on it, you can hear the "stirring" of a crash inside. It's better played with a wood tip drumstick than a nylon tip for that darker, more subtle sound.

    Imagine a darker sweet ride with a bit more ping on the edge, and a slightly more controlled crash. If using just as a crash this cymbal is insanely loud, but controlled equally. I love it for being a versatile cymbal which can be used in almost any setting

    If you are seriously looking for a ride/main riding crash cymbal, this is definetly for you. I stand by all zildjian k cymbals and this one has given me what i need out of it. I play mostly bar gigs and alot of our music is classic rock. At home i play more metal styled music and this cymbal still surprises me! The bell is pretty good for this being a crash/ride. The crash is very responsive and very loud. You will be heard by all guitar players as i can easily drown everyone out with a crack of this cymbal. The ride is probly the weakest feature in this cymbal but eh its what i payed for. Ive beat this thing to death for about 2 years now and i think it sounds better every day. Super tough and reliable

    this cymbal goes very well with my vintage 20" k ride; however, i could omit all other cymbals completely because of the versatility of this cymbal! the ride qualities of it are great, but start to hum a little too much when hit hard, but the bell sounds good. the crash sounds great for a really long john bonham or ringo type crash sound. the decay is slow, but that is exactly what i was looking for and should be what someone who wants a crash ride should be looking for. overall one of the most versatile cymbals I've ever played on.
