Great Loud Cymbal !

By Andy

from Kinnelon, NJ

Comments about Zildjian A Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

I own the 18 inch version. It is louder than any other cymbal I have ever played ! The sustain is incredible, it lasts forever. Definitely would recommend this for any rock drummer. It is probably not very versatile for different styles of music.

One word. LOUD.

By Kyle

from Philadelphia, PA

Comments about Zildjian A Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

This cymbal is great. Very loud. Great sustain. Extremely powerful. Its great especially if you play rock/punk/metal, any of that. I wouldn't say that its good for all styles of music. Just mainly loud, fast music. So if thats not your thing, then cymbal probably won't be your thing.

Comments about Zildjian A Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

Crisp, excellent sound, this cymbal has the best sound (in my opinion) of any crash cymbal out there. As you can tell by the name of this cymbal, it is made for rock drummers, but in my opinion the only genre it doesn't fit into is jazz. For the price (under $270) I think it's a great deal. Regarding the quality of the cymbal, it has gone beyond my expectations.

I received this cymbal for my birthday in early 2016, and after I played it for the first time I fell in love with it. I had been previously been playing a Meinl 16" HCS crash (at the time I had the HCS crash and that was my only crash and the 18" rock crash was my second one) and I found myself hitting the Zildjian more than my hi-hats. The sturdiness of the cymbal really impressed me; even after almost a year and countless hits, it still sounds almost brand new. It also has a beautiful, long decay and In my opinion, is better than any "Avedis" crash out there. Because of the success of this cymbal, I decided to get another cymbal from the "A" line: the 17" A medium-thin crash. ( which I think, pairs quite nicely with the 18" rock crash)

In conclusion, I believe that the crash is valuable asset to any drummers' arsenal of cymbals. As for shipping, since it was for my birthday, I don't know if the shipping was on time. If it does ever crack (I don't expect it to for the next 4-5 years) I would definitely get this cymbal again. If you have any questions regarding the cymbal, leave a comment and I'll get back to you.
