Medium is by far the best cymbal weight for A's. I hope they never stop making A Custom Medium in 17" and 19" like they did Avedis Medium. Medium-thin feels thin and they break quickly with hard playing.

  • Best crash i've bought!

I bought the 17" a couple of months back after denting my other crash. i am a hard hitter and this cymbal doesn't have one dent in it! worth every penny and the sound is FANTASTIC! it shimmers while still having that amazing A Custom sound. A MUST have for any drummer!!

I have had Zildjian cymbals for years. This is the first one I have purchased since the 1970's. The sound and tone of this cymbal matches anything I have heard. I love the finish of this cymbal, it is rich and not "tin like" at all. When you spend the money, a Zildjian will never sound like a "mounted trash can lid"

I have purchased Zildjian ZBT's,ZXT's & ZHT's for a while now, while these are all good "budget" cymbals, I just couldn't take that tin can sound once we started recording. I went out and bought some A Custom cymbals. The difference was incredible. The A Customs are by far some of the best sounding cymbals I've ever heard. You definately get what you pay for in cymbals, and these are worth every penny. Be patient, save your money and buy A Customs.

While my 16" A Custom is still my favorite crash, I just got the 17" Medium Crash home today, and it is surprisingly awesome. I really don't agree with Zildjian's description of "high-pitched...", but it definitely shimmers and is very full. I would say the sound is in-between the Fast and Projection crashes, which is really what I wanted. If you doubt any of the other A Customs, check these out. I honestly don't understand how this line isn't more $$$ than the others-- this beauty is worth WAY more than what I paid!!
