Yamaha
Description

Inspired by craft and design elements of Yamaha acoustic guitars, Yamaha set out to design a new kind of electric violin made primarily from wooden materials. The YEV-104 Electric Violin takes a design cue from both violin and acoustic guitar shapes, creating a beautiful yet amazingly lightweight instrument made with six different woods. These wood materials are carefully crafted with an airy infinity loop-like design, representing the dimensions of acoustic space, and is as stunning visually as it is fun to play. Using a unique Yamaha bridge pickup that carries over from professional Yamaha Silent Violins, this instrument delivers a smooth, organic and warm tone. The design incorporates a simple ¼” input to match the clean and natural aesthetic of this innovative electric violin. Available in natural or black finish.

I got this item to keep practicing, since I'm here alone on a business trip. I had high expectations from the Yamaha YEV 104, but I couldn't expect it was even better. The violin is same size of a classic 4/4, everything you have can be used on it, such as case, shoulder rest. The neck is a bit less thick, that's perfect for my small hands. I also bought the Yamaha THR5 at the Guitar Center store in Southfield. There I was able to test a similar item. They make a perfect pair, with built in effects such as tremolo and reverb

Hi, I previously asked this question: ""Does this violin ship with the bridge installed? Or does the bridge need to be cut and installed by the purchaser?" On January 21, 2020, I received this response from Kenneth: "The bridge will be installed" So, I ordered the violin and received it today. Upon opening it I find that the bridge is in fact NOT installed. Please tell me why you stated the bridge will be installed, and tell me who will install it.
