Description
The Yamaha FGC-TA TransAcoustic dreadnought cutaway acoustic-electric guitar is an innovative instrument that provides an inspiring acoustic experience no matter your location. TransAcoustic Technology Recreates the Feeling of Playing in an Acoustic Space

Pleasant Surprise
I hadn't played an acoustic in a while so I went to Guitar Center and was trying random acoustic guitars when I noticed the Trans Acoustic features on this one, it's quite something that you have to hear in person, videos don't do it justice. With this models smaller size I thought the guitar would sound thinner and lack warmth. I was surprised at how well rounded it sounds without the TA on. There's a good amount of depth and clarity without becoming too boomy on the lower notes. Really good allrounder and not overly bright. More of an intimate feel. The neck is easy to play, the action decent, no fret buzz, the cutaway is well designed, and it's a bit on the lighter side. The only nitpicky thing I have is the strings are a bit close together but that didn't stop me from buying it. Yamaha continues to impress me with their guitars. Overall, for the price, this guitar is an excellent allrounder with actually useful built in effects. The Reverb and Chorus both sound good, simple to use, and the fact that you can blend them is awesome. Definitely give it a try!

Yamaha a acoustic
Just tried one. I've been playing 57 years. Still play 4 to 5 times a week. I know a shtload about guitars: woods, set up , frets, truss rod, pickups, blah blah blah. This is one of the worst acoustic electrics I've ever played.

This thing is so cool. Once you pick it up to play it is hard to put down. The internal effects are awesome and they just make you want to try out different songs and pick out the solos. Battery has lasted surprisingly long. PS- Also sounds great just on its own. Good action and is easy to play. When you trade in a piece of geer they give you 10% off the new purchase.

Such a fun guitar to play with very great sound and feel. I've compared the sound to many taylor's and martins that are more expensive but in my opinion this one sounds better
