The Yamaha NTX1 Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar provides a groundbreaking blend of traditional nylon-string tones and modern performance-ready features. With its slim, comfortable neck and advanced undersaddle pickup system, the NTX1 makes it effortless for players of all genres to explore the rich sounds of classical guitar.

Innovative Undersaddle Pickup Provides Studio-Quality Plugged-In Tone

At the heart of the NTX1's amplified potential lies its custom undersaddle piezo pickup. With a frequency range tailored specifically for nylon strings, it captures the guitar's full harmonic depth and natural resonance. Players can shape their tone further using the onboard volume and tone controls.

Slim Neck Profile and 1-7/8" Nut Opening Suit Steel-String Players

Yamaha engineered the NTX1 neck to provide familiar feel and playability for guitarists accustomed to steel-string acoustic or electric guitars. Its slim, comfortable profile and 1-7/8" nut opening facilitate intricate fretwork and smooth position changes.

Solid Sitka Spruce Top and Nato Back/Sides Provide Acoustic Warmth

Beneath its modern esthetic, the NTX1 boasts traditional classical construction with a solid Sitka spruce top and nato back and sides. This tonewood combination produces rich, balanced tone with a clear midrange and articulate high end.

I used to have great faith and confidence in Yamaha products. Not anymore. This thing lasted about 5 minutes in my house. The string action was nearly 1/4" at the 3rd fret and 3/8" at the 12th. You can't sort that without chopping the bridge in half. Just horrible quality.

It ships with the Yamaha X10. They don't indicate string gauge. It would be best to change the entire set. Please see-----------D'Addario EJ45 Pro-Arte Normal Tension Classical Guitar Strings.
