Traveler Guitar

collapse expand iconDescription

The Traveler Guitar Ultra-Light Electric Travel Guitar is the smallest and lightest full-scale electric guitar. This innovative instrument uses a proprietary In-Body Tuning System that relocates the tuning machines into the body, eliminating the need for a headstock. As a result, the Ultra-Light Electric is 28% shorter and 68% lighter than a typical full-size electric guitar, with the same 24.75" scale length. Complete with a high-output dual-rail humbucker pickup and a 1/4" output, the Ultra-Light Electric can plug directly into your favorite amp or recording device. Weighing just over 3 lbs and only 28" long, this guitar fits easily in an overhead compartment for traveling with you anywhere.

Full-Scale Neck in a Compact Body

The Ultra-Light Electric features a full 24.75" scale length neck for familiar feel and playability. The lack of a headstock and small, contoured body provide the portability of a travel guitar without compromising on scale. The hard maple neck and body deliver resonant tone with plenty of sustain.

High-Output Pickup for a Robust Tone

The dual-rail humbucker pickup offers a full tone with plenty of output. Combined with a 1/4" output, you can plug the Ultra-Light Electric directly into your favorite amp or recording device for practicing, performing or recording on the go.

Lightweight and Travel-Friendly

Weighing just over 3 lbs and measuring only 28" in length, the Ultra-Light Electric is designed for traveling. The detachable lap rest can be stowed away for easy transport, allowing the guitar and included gig bag to fit in an airline overhead compartment or any tight space.

Versatile and Affordable

The Ultra-Light Electric is a high-quality yet affordable solution for any guitarist looking to practice, perform or record on the go without compromising on feel or tone. Available in 3 vibrant finishes, the Ultra-Light Electric lets you express your personal style whether practicing, performing or recording.

  • Carried around the world

I have the "acoustic" version, and I carried it around the world on a year-long trip. It's small, light and easy to carry—just swing it over your shoulder. It's super durable, carved out of a single plank of maple. Unplugged, it sounds and plays like a solid-body electric. The amplified sound is surprisingly good (I have actually gigged with it). When traveling, I pair it with a NUX MP-3 Mighty Plug Pro headphone amp.

I travel 80 percent of the time for work. This guitar has been amazing. It plays very well, the craftsmanship is surprisingly good considering the price. It has been on three coast to coast trips in 2 weeks and I had no problem fitting it in overhead compartments.

I was looking for a cheap guitar that i could take everywhere. And Bazinga!, there it is. Action is pretty decent, weight is awesome, I love the fretboard. It's a cheap guitar, so could it be better? Yes. I suspect, like most low end guitars, you have to look them over well.

This guitar didn't do well in the long run. The guitar travels well but that's about all it does well. I still like all the features that originally attracted me to this guitar, compact and simple. Unfortunately this guitar is lacking in sound quality. This guitar always sounds off. I got a professional set up done and the luthier had a nice amp, guitar was still making a squawking sound. I was told that the pickup was the issue so ultimately swapping might work.

I had the shop set up the action and it's good but I also had them put in another pickup to try to improve the tone. The geniuses that engineered this guitar put the pickup in the bridge( with no tone control!) so with no guitar body, no tone control and only a bridge pickup prepare to turn down to zero your amp's treble and middle setting and hope you can find a decent tone. You'll need to buy a better travel amp.

This is my second guitar ever owned and I like it. First guitar is a strat type but I travel a lot and that keeps me away from guitar. This guitar is very light and fun. It is made in China and comes with a gig bag, also made in China. I compared a lot of travel guitars and chose this one because the tuning knobs are tucked away a bit so I guess I won't hit them. I am completely a beginner but now I have no reason not to play.

What is the size of the fretboard? I have small hands, I would appreciate smaller fretboard as well, thanks

Traveler Guitar Ultra-Light Electric Travel Guitar Midnight Black
Item #:1500000284547 #: 115700189
The Specifications mention this model having a Dual-rail humbucker pickup.
But as the picture shows, it is actually a High-Output Single-Coil pickup.
I would like to have more info about that pickup, its brand and make and if the individual poles can be adjusted with an hex allen wrench.
