I got this tenor drum due to its low price, because i am currently in high school. The first time i had to put new heads on, the rims bent and warped within about 30 minutes to and hour, and marching drums are supposed to have rims that can withstand extremely high tensions, but these did not. The J-rods also bent slightly within a month or 2, but i can live with that seeing as i use this to practice at home. Overall i would not get this product if you are starting out, if you still want a set of tenors, i would recommend pearl championship with the large configuration of 10,12,13,14. Pearls are fairly pricey, but they will definitely last longer than these did
