Comments about Seymour Duncan STK-T1 Rhythm Pickup:

Replaced a stock humbucker on a ESP LTD TE-212. I wanted to get a SD vintage but GC did not have one available so I got the vintage stack. Similar pickup but higher output and noise cancelling. I was not disappointed, Great vintage tone. I'e seen reviews saying this had a lot of 'bottom end' but I did not experience this. Has a great warm Tele tone and not too muddy. Got 4 stars because it only came with screws to screw into the wood of the body, but I needed to screw into the pick guard. As there are different ways to mount this type of PUP it would have been nice to have the option for both, seeing as screws are cheap. overall Great pickup.

Love the sound of this pickup. Replaced a Stock neck humbucker on a ESP LTD TE-212. I wanted to buy a SD Vintage but GC did not have this available. This is similar except a higher output and hum cancel. I Am Not disappointed! this pickup has a Great vintage Tele sound clean and with OD. I've seen reviews saying this had a lot of "bottom end" but I did not experience this. This has a great warm tone and not too muddy, sounds amazing to my ear.

How many ways can you say awesome...?

How many ways can you say awesome?
If you're looking for a vintage sounding Telecaster neck pickup with no hum and tons of output, this is it. First I'll say that I replaced this with a stock ESP LTD TE-212 humbucker neck pickup.

I wanted a vintage Tele sound with no hum and this has it. I was going to go with the SD vintage but GC didn't have any so I went with the stack. Only difference I saw was the output is about double. It does not affect the clean tone though. Excellent vintage tone! And with OD and even more distortion this pickup is warm and smooth. With that distinct "hollow" Tele tone.
I've heard reviews saying this has a lot of bottom end. I did not experience that. I think they sound perfect. And does not over power the stock bridge ESP pickup that's still in. Maybe one day I'll upgrade to the bridge. But it sounds great for a stock PUP.

The only reason I give this 4 stars is for the screws they provide. So as I said this was replacing a humbucker cavity. It fit fine but they only give you screws to screw into the wood like an older style Tele. Since Tele's have evolved through the years I feel like they should put screws to do both in case it's either way, I mean how much do screws cost anyway...? Also the screw holes were too large in the pickup base so I had to place a piece of plastic under the pickup so I could adjust it.

And lastly since there are 100 ways to wire a pickup nowadays i get that it's impossible to know what a person is wiring for. But the scematic paper they send us a generic for a 2-wire pickup. I feel like SD should at least put in a paper that matches the pickup that's in the box...

Luckily SD has all the different schematics online so it was easy enough to find.
