Seymour Duncan Duncan Distortion Humbucker Pickup White Neck

Great pickup if you need THAT sound. I'm not going to knock them because they sound like white to me. I might look into an A8 magnet or do a hybrid with an A5 magnet and a ceramic. Leaves a little shrill screech and tight bottom.

Put this in a home built les Paul. Sounds amazing

So happy to make this purchase! Paired this with a SD Jazz Neck p/up and wired the guitar to omit the weak middle single coil entirely (was in the way when picking). I now have a kill switch at position 5 on the toggle. Jazz bass knobs for the win. Thanks again!

Can not say enough. Pairs well with the Seymour Jazz SH-2n in the neck position. This guitar also has Jazz Bass knobs to make the volume knob smaller. Re-wired the 5-way toggle switch to omit the weak middle single coil altogether which gives me a kill switch at position 5 with a nice blend of both humbuckers at position 2. Very happy with this purchase from MF. Cheers!

I put this in my Kiesel DC600H. It's a single vol/pu configuration with a mahogany neck/body and a maple cap. This pickup is absolutely incredible!!! I always loved the JB I had before but something just didn't seem right in this guitar. So, after tons of research, I bit the bullet and installed one. It has a very, very crunchy sound when pushing metal distortion which is amazing for the thrash/groove that I play. Bear in mind that this is indeed a hot pickup BUT don't expect more distortion out of it. That's not the purpose. I chose this pickup because of the change in noticeable frequencies from a ceramic magnet (reduction in midrange and bass, harsh high freq). I would describe the sound as a hot (louder not distorted) and dense with the right eq settings. The high-end is tamed yet clear making pinch harmonics, sweeps and fast runs pop out of the mix. The reduction in bass allows for more clear palm mutting and power chord definition. It sounds equally as amazing when playing Blues through a pushed amp. Licks are smooth and balanced between ALL strings. But heed my warning: if you are a "mid-scooper" this IS NOT the pickup for you. If you scoop the mids it looses all its balls. I recommend this to anyone looking for a hot pickup to replace a midrange boosted, alnico/JB sounding pickup. Trust me, you won't regret it.

The PU is fine now. I had to modify it to make it work after being told i was lying by the cust service rep. I will probably never buy anything from guitar center again. Feel free to follow up if you want more details.
