Description

The Pearl Competitor Marching Snare Drum has an 8-ply mahogany shell rich in upper harmonics for enhanced presence. 2.3mm steel hoops are lightweight with great strength and durability. High-tension FFX aluminum alloy edge ring allows super-high-pitched Kevlar heads to be installed. Lever action strainer operates smoothly and positively. Micro-fine adjustment of snare/head contact assures sensitive snare response. 12-strand synthetic gut snares are both sensitive and powerful. Light weight makes it suitable for all age groups. Pure White or Midnight Black covering are durable finishes that complements any uniform.

    This snare is a good buy especially for this price. If you want to buy this drum you need a new head. The stock head on this drum is not good. I tried to make it work, but i just had to get a Kevlar head. If you use a drill bit drum key it will work really good with a Kevlar head. You can really crank the tension up. This is a very good drum for the price and any experienced and dedicated drummer will love to have this.

    My drum core that me and another person lead put Kevlar heads on all of our snares but there were only two snares like this one and i play one I love the sound that this gives its like the pinch of a piccilo snare with a mix af a maple and regular marching snare sound.
