Comments about Paiste Giant Beat Hi-Hats:
The only way to describe these hi-hats is perfection. The giant beat series are all very warm and loud, they are the perfect jazz or classic rock cymbals. These hi-hats were not meant to be played closed tight, they sound incredible slightly open so the two cymbals move around on each other. Definitely go for the 15 inch ones, they are the hugest sounding hi-hats on the market. If you are looking for something brighter sounding, I suggest you go for the 15 inch 2002 sound edge hi-hats, can't go wrong with those either.
Comments about Paiste Giant Beat Hi-Hats:
Immediately fell in love with this sound. Got the 15" and played with more excitement than I have in a while and couldn't get off the hats to go to the ride. Made me wanna play some James brown or something
Comments about Paiste Giant Beat Hi-Hats:
I purchased the 15" Giant Beats about a year ago. So glad I did! The sound is Clean, Loud, and precise. Your stick work can be clearly defined in a tight closed position. In the slight open position? Ooooh Mama! Get these right now if you can afford them. Can't afford them? Put every penny, nickel, and dime in a jar until you can. Amazing.
Comments about Paiste Giant Beat Hi-Hats:
Love the sound of these tapped separately with the side of a stick, very sweet and musical, two distinct bell like tones, very useful for jazz and singers. I did not want the Paiste hats with that wavy bottom cymbal, regardless of anything, as I do not like the look. These were all they had in stock and I'm totally happy. I think these have a traditional sound when tapped or played with the foot.
Comments about Paiste Giant Beat Hi-Hats:
