Description

RANE SEVENTY 2-channel battle mixer for Serato DJ is engineered for DJs who demand the ultimate in performance, sound quality and cutting-edge technology. The SEVENTY mixer offers a premium solution for DJs playing on the Serato DJ software platform. Each of the two channels features a highly accurate line fader, precision EQ and dedicated filter knob to provide the responsive, tactile control essential for DJing. With a high-performance 32-bit floating point digital signal processor, the SEVENTY delivers studio-quality sound with a wide frequency range and distortion-free output.

Precision Channel Faders and EQ for Unparalleled Control

The SEVENTY mixer is equipped with precision line faders and 3-band full cut EQ on each channel, allowing for nuanced control of the mix. The line faders provide a smooth, frictionless response for executing even the fastest and most intricate scratches and cuts. The 3-band EQ with full cut enables complete removal of frequency ranges to create dramatic drops and buildups during a set.

Onboard Effects and Dedicated Filter Knobs

Each channel of the SEVENTY features an onboard effects module with parameter knobs and a dedicated filter knob for manipulating the sound and creating exciting transitions. The effects module provides echo, reverb, flanger and phaser effects, which can be dialed in on the fly using the dedicated effects level and parameter knobs. The filter knobs enable sweeping cuts or boosts of high and low frequencies to dramatically alter the sound from one song to the next.

Superior Sound Quality and Output

With a high-performance 32-bit floating point DSP, the SEVENTY mixer delivers pristine, high resolution audio with a frequency range of 20Hz to 40kHz. The mixer provides both XLR and RCA master outputs as well as booth outputs, allowing you to send the main mix to the house PA and booth monitors. Each channel can accept line-level inputs from a variety of sources, including turntables, CD players, laptops and other devices.

Additional Features

Other features of the RANE SEVENTY mixer include channel-independent cueing with headphone cue mix, input selector switches, gain control, a crossfader with adjustment knob and Serato NoiseMap control for fine-tuning the channel fader curve. The SEVENTY mixer comes with Serato DJ intro software and is compatible with the full version of Serato DJ Pro.

I've had the Rane Seventy for over a year now and still love it! I purchased this mixer during the start of the pandemic in 2020 knowing I would have lots of downtime from gigs to learn the new features. This was just before the Pioneer DJM-S11 & S7 mixers were launched. I thought I would have buyer's remorse when I heard about the Pioneer mixers but after Rane added Serato Scratch Bank to both the 70 & 72 mixers... all was well. The Ducking Echo works almost like the Smooth Echo on the S11 so there's little to be desired between the two. The DJM-S11 has a few more features than the Rane Seventy, no doubt! However, for my personal DJ style, I have more than enough power with this mixer. The Mag4 faders are buttery smooth and have external feel adjustments. I can use this mixer with my Technics 1200s or my Rane Twelves. The sound is superb. Once I added my Skinz as shown in the picture, the deal was sealed that I would keep this unit. Two thumbs up!

Do the FX work if you're using vinyl records to DJ? (Actual vinyl….not control). I'm interested in this mixer but would like to know if the fx are built in so you can be completely analog when playing vinyl and still be able to use the fx without needing to be hooked into Serato.
