an effective and welcome bag
I had just purchased a Yamaha P85, and needed to purchase a suitable bag. The music store didn't have one in stock, so I went on line. I found this bag after a bit of a search (the P85 is a relatively new product at this time, whose dimensions are tricky). The bag is slightly long for the keyboard, but it is nicely padded and attractively styled, with effective interior Velcro straps and sensibly-placed outer pockets. I'm happy to recommend this bag. I have used it to transport the P85 to three gigs in as many weeks, and have been pleased with it.

No shoulder strap, so essentially useless for gigs
I perform multiple gigs a month throughout New York, including the outer boroughs. As a 5'3" woman with average strength, I desperately need a shoulder strap. Unfortunately, I bought this assuming it had one, but it doesn't. I tried it out for not even one day and I already had to take a taxi. I'll have to exchange it for one with a strap. This really shouldn't be so expensive without a strap, very odd. I also found the handles were too rough and large for my hands. Seems like it was designed for strong men. That sucks.

Rugged protection for my keyboard

I use this gig bag to protect my 88 key Roland keyboard. It's very rugged, it also has extra padded straps inside to protect the keyboard. I use it for both rehearsals and gigs for two different bands. My only gripes are, 1 it's oversized for my needs and 2 the zipper could be easier. I can live with both. I selected Gator because I have another Gator bag for a smaller keyboard and liked it

Feels very durable! Good case. Internal straps work for smaller 61 key keyboards (ex yamaha ck 61). Two pockets are great too. I keep a fold-up music stand, sustain pedal, earplugs, power & 1:4" cables w/o trouble. #sweepstakes

Had a very hard time finding a gig bag without spending close to a Grand for one for my Roland DS88 keyboard. This one is absolutely Perfect ! With room to spare. Almost 2 years searching, but found it here. Well padded and I love the inside secure straps. Recommend this for sure.

This keyboard bag is does not have any rigidness about it. It is light duty so care when moving your keyboard must be taken.

Will my Roland Juno DS88 fit in the Slim 88-key gig bag? The interior dimensions given for the case are about an inch smaller than the keyboard but I'm guessing there might be some extra room so it would fit. I would prefer the keyboard not be sliding around in the case and the width and height of the 88-key is much better for the DS88.
It hasn't been tested. It 'may' stretch enough.submitted7 years ago

Is this bag suitable to use on a plane for checking in the keyboard?
I would not recommend it. I would suggest the Gator Flight Pro TSA ATA Molded Keyboard Case
