The item is nice looking, bottons and plates Have good feel,! Is great for CD playing and mixing, But as far ad using a laptab, not recomended. The mixdeck has a none midi mixer, so U will not be able to control your software Mixer, plus I found that issues with the crossfader not working with this unit. Another issue with the deck's mixer, is the Channels volume controlls! THIS ISSUES ARE REPORTED BY MANY ORHER PERSONS. SO I DONT RECOMEND THIS UNIT FOR PRO USE!

Very versatile DJ controller board! Reason being is because it can play USB's, CD's (outdated I know but just in case) and of course you can hook up to a laptop via the USB cord. Works with Serato and a couple other popular DJ softwares out there. The reason why this is the best bang for the buck is because you will not find another DJ controller that can play all of those types of media. The next one up that is capable of doing so is at least $1,700+ (Pioneer XDJ R2). The board has all the connections you need too (RCA's / XLR's). The interface is super simple to use. The only downside is that it's not the *best* looking board, nor does it have any fancy lights, and it doesn't have any of the fancy trigger pads or hot cues... So most people don't care about that. They just want music played. Plus all of those features can be used virtually on DJ software or Launchpads!
