About Numark:
Founded in Edison, New Jersey in 1971 by brothers Harry and Robert Kotovsky, Numark was one of the original companies devoted almost entirely to DJ equipment, combining cutting edge technology with a thorough understanding of what DJs need. During the disco era, they developed a significant following for their mixers, turntables and speakers, cementing a reputation for designing and manufacturing solid performance tools for professionals.
Numark has been responsible for many firsts over the years, including the first mixer with built-in sampler and the first dual-well CD player. The acquisition of the company by Jack O'Donnell, formerly of Stanton Magnetics, spurred innovation and technological development, enabling the company to stay at the forefront as DJs transitioned from analog to digital sources for music. They have developed many indispensable, groundbreaking products like the TTX turntable, DMC-1 controller and, more recently, the NS6 and NS7 controllers.
Today, Numark remains the largest manufacturer of DJ equipment in the world, and continues to break ground with fresh new controllers, players, mixers and new families of products aimed at the increased use of personal mobile devices like tablets and phones for DJ applications.
