I recently felt the urge to listen to my old vinyl, which brought on the urge to DJ again which I have not done in over 30 yrs. After doing some research I purchased the Numark M6. I think this mixer is the right fit for right now and room for growth. It has been great so far.

To be honest, this is not a bad mixer in a sense that it does everything you need it to do for an amateur DJ or experienced DJ looking for a cheaply priced mixer. The problem here is that it blows fuses too easily when pairing it with high end speakers like the JBL EONs. If you own the EONs you know it's purpose is to play them at high volumes without distortion while maintaining clear highs and awesome lows. The Numark does not have to reach the tipping point before blowing out a fuse. You only need to pump the volume half-way and it will certainly give in. Given it's price, I bought a second one to replace the blown first one since it was not expensive. It is perfect in a house party setting with lower end speakers. All in all, they are very good for the price, but do not rely on them when performing at catering halls.

I am a mobile DJ and wanted to reduce the size of my mixing gear (I was downsizing from a 18" rack- mounted Denon DNX-500) to something smaller. The M6 fits the bill. It has all the inputs I needed (1 mic, 4 line-level, with one of the line level channels used for my wireless mic), plus all the necessary metering (both in the inputs and the main output). I love the separate booth output control because I run a wireless signal to other rooms and I can control the volume separately. The stereo-mono switch is great feature too (many times I have to send a mono signal to my speakers because they are different rooms for cocktails). I only lost the ability to hook up 8 items at once (which I think is overkill anyway). Disclaimer: I have not used the USB feature yet, so perhaps others can comment on that part. For the price, you can't beat it. For a case, I recommend the Odyssey Carpeted Case for Pioneer CDJ-300, CDJ-500 OR DJM-500/DJM-600. This was perfect fit for the M6, as I had room to store cables, AC outlet strip, and AC adapters in the top empty section. I can now carry in my DJ mixer with one hand at gigs!

  • I do more homework on it

The product is good but the main thing I need it for its not compatible with serato DJ software I thought I would increase playing videos on Friday night where I DJ at. I need to mix externally with the mixer not on the computer it's self
