Description

Highly polished finish effects a clear, warm sound with bright overtones. The Byzance Ride Cymbal has a defined ping with medium sustain.

The Byzance Brilliant Finish series is handmade in Turkey using B20 bronze alloy. The finish is extremely bright due to Meinl's two-step buffing process. The sound has a full mature dark tone that is good for almost any style of modern music.

    I bought this cymbal a couple of weeks ago and I was kind of nervous at first, it is very washy, which means its great for crashing, but not for riding. So I bought it looking for a quick temporary replacement for my last ride that broke. After a couple of days it hit me. This ride is great for riding AND crashing! It blew my mind! The bell is not the greatest out there, but I dont use the bell much anyways. If you are looking for a good durable cymbal thats nice and dry and washy, this is it! This is not a pingy ride by any means but it does sound very acceptable for riding situations. Buy it!

    I bout this cymbal used and two gigs the next friday. Played them at the shows and absolutely love the crashing ability and verstility on the cymbal. It is by far the best sounding crash from a ride ive ever owned!I say this is a must for any alternative-punk-post hardcore bands out there. The Byzance line is absolutely phenomenal!

    Well,all I really have to say is Meinl Byzance Cymbals have some of the best cymbals of all time!! I mean I know there's are cymbals somewhere in this world better than these but I high recommend them.They are also played by one of my favorite drummers:Aaron Gillespie of Underoath!! The sound of the cymbals always leave me stunned! If you can afford them get them!!
