Something is wacky with this strap. I wonder if this was actually made for a guitar or maybe I got a child's size? Is this for a mandolin? The padded part does not rest on my shoulder, it's very strange. There is a transition from the padded leather to the webbing that has a reinforcement and a buckle and that is the part that rests on my shoulder and it's uncomfortable. I'm 5'7'' and I don't play with the guitar down to my knees. I would have to bring the guitar up to my chin to utilize the leather part. The "RipChord" contraption is ridiculous, it works smoothly and it's a nice design but how often do you need to adjust the length of a strap on the fly? Normally you put the strap on your guitar, set the length and you're done. If you were passing the guitar around from person to person, it might have a use. Construction is high quality for such a useless design, go figure.

This is a good quality strap. However, I have it fully extended as far as it will go and it's not even close to a normal strap length. I will be returning it.
