Band in a box

I use my JBL EON715 to practice covers too when practicing solo at home so I'm ready when I go to band rehearsal. Bluetooth what I want to play from my phone. Then play along on bass through my bass rig. Love the JBL app and controls. The sound is phenomenal. The cabs are only 37lbs ea.

Unsecured Bluetooth is a Deal Breaker

After a long discussion with a JBL tech yesterday, it seems that these speakers are still not secure. How can these speakers be sold like this?! I can connect any device, any time to the Bluetooth. That means people in my audience can play BT from their phones while I'm playing a gig. Uh-uh. No way. These are completely unsecured channels and I am returning these speakers because THEY ARE UNUSABLE. This was a huge purchase that is hugely disappointing. I'm forever soured on the JBL name.

I recently used the loudspeakers for roughly 2000 square foot room. The loudspeakers had the right kick for the dance floor no problem. I highly recommend these loudspeakers, not the top of the line but certainly not the bottom of the line. Speakers are roughly 37lbs a piece.

  • Really good buy.

This is my 2nd pair and each pair has had some malfunction with either settings or the woofer failing. Save money and go with another brand

I am looking into buying two of these speakers, how well does it handle the low end? Also if I were to buy a subwoofer would two be needed or can one do the job for both speakers?

It'll handle it very well but a sub is always better.

    Dear JBL,
The question is for JBL EON 715 powered speaker. There are two questions:
    1. I am looking to mount the speaker to a high ceiling installation. The power button at the speaker is not accessible one the speaker is installed; I am planning switch off the power to the speaker when it is not in use and switch the power to speaker on for operation. Is this operation possible for JBL EON 715 powered speaker without the need to press the power button?
    2. Since I can't access the installed speaker's navigation control, is it possible to start Bluetooth pairing operation without access to the navigation control?
Thank you for your help and have a nice day. Joseph Ng

Yes, you can bypass the pwr button. If you preset the navigation control it will be ok. I don't know if there is a possibility of the blue tooth signal drifting and requiring a reset. Please contact JBL directly. "https://www.jbl.com/contactus"
