String Saver Classics Strat & Tele 2-1/16" Spacing are a unique combination of materials made to enhance tone and dramatically reduce string breakage.

How do they work?
Each String Saver Classic saddle insert, is impregnated with Teflon, the slipperiest substance on earth. The Teflon in String Savers eases the grip between the saddle and string, spreading the stress over a greater portion of the string, just enough to drastically reduce string breakage. Teflon is 500% more slippery than graphite and is impregnated throughout the String Saver material, so its lubricating properties will never wear out. For string breakage reduction the difference is dramatic. Strings that last and last, no matter how hard you play...we guarantee it! Imagine how you would play if you didn't have to worry about breaking strings.

What do they sound like?
String Saver Classics are designed to preserve the original classic sound of your guitar. But, don't be surprised if you end up playing and sounding better when you don't have any more fear of breaking strings.

Man. These things made a world of difference on my Strat. Expensive but the BEST upgrade I have ever done. EASy to intstall and set intonation. I also bout the TUSQ XL Fender Style Slotted Nut. Every thing is smooth and stays in tune. I highly recommend them to anyone who uses bent saddles.

I have replaced the saddles on my Chris Schiflett Telecaster Deluxe with these. Much more comfortable for palm muting and better overall resonance as far as I can tell. A great upgrade to any Fender that has the classic vintage metal saddles.

The reviews regarding tone are absolutely correct. Overall nice smooth response deep sustain and a nice chunky bottom end. I play GHS Boomers Thin to Thick .010-.052. The String Saver Classic PG-8000-0C : STRING SAVER STRAT & TELE STYLE SADDLES 2 1/16" STRING SPACING - CHROME with insert = major tonal improvement over the fender stamped/formed saddles. They are more expensive option but well worth the extra expense!

These Saddles are 1000 times more comfortable than the original bent metal vintage saddles that came stock on my MIM Strat. I love the tone of the original strat saddles, but they were very uncomfortable to play, as I rest my hand on the bridge while playing. I play classic Rock and do not use the vibrato bar, and keep the bridge decked at all times. After changing them out, there is a noticeable spike in the midrange that was not there before. It is not necessarily a bad thing, just different and something to keep in mind when changing any parts on your guitar. It was easy to dial the extra mids out with the amp's EQ. Now my strat is super comfortable to play, so I play it more often, and it still sounds like my strat with changes made to my EQ settings...
