Gibson ES-339 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar Honey Burst

Description
The Gibson ES-339 semi-hollow electric guitar distills the vintage soul and unmistakable style of the iconic ES line into a streamlined modern package. Designed for players who love the look and sound of the ES-335 but prefer a smaller, lighter instrument, the ES-339 offers the perfect blend of balanced comfort and classic style. Its semi-hollow maple/poplar body and solid maple centerblock deliver woody warmth and lively sustain, offering golden-era Gibson tone without the heft of a full-sized semi-hollow. Paired with dual ’57 Classic pickups and a handwired control assembly, the ES-339 channels everything from articulate cleans to smoky overdrive with authentic vintage character. With premium hardware and a timeless gloss nitro finish, the ES-339 is a stage-ready semi-hollow built to inspire in any setting.
Compact Semi-Hollow Body With Resonant Tone
The ES-339 features a three-ply maple/poplar/maple body with a solid maple centerblock, delivering classic semi-hollow warmth and resonance while minimizing unwanted feedback. Its maple top adds extra clarity and articulation, ensuring every note rings with definition. Compared to the larger ES-335, the ES-339’s reduced body size provides improved comfort without sacrificing tonal depth, making it ideal for smaller players or those seeking a more streamlined feel. Finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, the ES-339 has a timeless look that ages gracefully while allowing the tonewoods to breathe and resonate freely.
Rounded C Mahogany Neck for Effortless Playability
A sleek mahogany neck carved to Gibson’s Rounded C profile makes the ES-339 instantly comfortable in hand, offering a blend of stability and speed for a wide range of playing styles. The rosewood fingerboard features a 12" radius and 22 medium jumbo frets, providing smooth bends and fast runs across the entire range. Acrylic dot inlays complete the understated, classic look while hand-rolled edges add a broken-in feel right out of the case. Whether you’re comping chords, exploring jazz voicings or ripping blues leads, the neck is designed for fatigue-free performance during long practice sessions or extended gigs.
Dual ’57 Classic Pickups Capture Classic PAF Tone
Equipped with a ’57 Classic humbucker in the neck and a ’57 Classic Plus in the bridge, the ES-339 delivers the legendary PAF-inspired tone Gibson is known for. Built with Alnico II magnets and vintage-style two-conductor wiring, these pickups capture the warmth, clarity and harmonic richness of the originals. The balanced coils of the ’57 Classic produce smooth, creamy tones with excellent hum cancellation, while the slightly overwound ’57 Classic Plus provides added punch and bite in the bridge position. Combined with a handwired harness and high-quality pots and caps, the ES-339 offers versatile tones ranging from clean and articulate to gritty and expressive.
Premium Hardware and Vintage-Inspired Appointments
The ES-339 is outfitted with Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney buttons for rock-solid tuning stability and smooth adjustments. A nickel-plated ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum stopbar tailpiece ensure precise intonation and efficient string-to-body transfer, enhancing sustain and resonance. Black top-hat knobs with silver reflector caps provide intuitive control over volume and tone, while the three-way selector switch offers quick access to pickup combinations. Finished with nickel hardware and housed in a sturdy Gibson hardshell case, the ES-339 is as reliable on stage as it is stylish in the studio.
A Modern Take on the Timeless Gibson ES Semi-Hollow
Blending the soulful resonance of a semi-hollow with the playability of a smaller body, the Gibson ES-339 semi-hollow electric guitar is designed for musicians who demand vintage tone with modern comfort. From blues and jazz to rock and beyond, its PAF-inspired pickups, premium hardware and handcrafted build make it a stage- and studio-ready instrument that honors Gibson’s rich legacy while catering to today’s players. This is a really great guitar, it is a smaller version of the 335, and is the perfect size for my taste. If you are familiar with Gibson's then you already know how great the quality is. The only question to decide is if you can afford it because I promise you will love it if you get one. The fact that it comes with its custom case is also a plus

Will 13-56 gage strings work with ES339?
You can. They're a bit heavy and you may want to redo your set up but you can certainly do it.
