Built in the Custom Shop with period-correct appointments and superior attention to detail, its journey continued in the Murphy Lab. Utilizing aging techniques created by Master Artisan Tom Murphy, this reissue emerged looking like a vintage Gibson with very little playing wear. Loaded with a set of CustomBuckers, the Heavy-aged ’58 Standard sets a new one for historical authenticity, and will become the centerpiece of your collection.
The Gibson Custom Murphy Lab 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue comes with a certificate of authenticity and a brown and pink reissue 5-latch hardshell case.

The Murphy Lab puts this guitar through its Ultra Light aging process, showing slight lacquer checking, but very little playing wear. The nitrocellulose lacquer was reverse-engineered for historical authenticity.
