Designed to produce the richest and darkest sound of all Fox oboes, while still offering exceptional response and intonation, the Sayen model 880 has a larger body than traditional oboes. Trimmed in gold with fine silver keys and the most select hand-finished grenadilla wood, this oboe exemplifies the beauty and tradition of American craftsmanship.

It features a select grenadilla body and nickel silver lined tenon sockets with nickel silver caps on upper and lower tenon shoulders. The posts and bands are gold plated and the keys are silver plated. It has stainless steel arbors and wire springs, teflon-tipped stainless steel adjusting screws and high-quality cork pads throughout.

Lots of accessories are supplied as well, including a high-quality professional case with cover and strap, Grenadilla tenon caps, a humidifier and a six-reed case. Care products come with the 880 as well, including a care cloth, silk swab, cork grease, thumb rest adjusting wrench and a screwdriver.
