Focusrite Red Range

Focusrite’s Red range of Thunderbolt audio interfaces feature specially designed high-performance, low-noise (-128dB EIN) mic pres with a new low-distortion, ultra-linear design which guarantees a clean, open and transparent sound, for an exceptionally accurate capture of the original performance. As an added benefit, they include the unique analog “Air” effect, which emulates the sound of Focusrite’s classic transformer-based mic preamps.

With 64 inputs and 64 outputs (including a total of 16 analog inputs and 18 analog outputs) and eight of Focusrite’s specially developed digitally controlled mic preamps, the Red 8Pre answers the need for more microphone inputs and a higher I/O count. In addition, like the Red 4Pre, the Red 8Pre includes two front-panel, high-headroom instrument inputs, dual Thunderbolt™ 2, dual Pro Tools | HD DigiLink™ and Dante™ network audio connectivity.

RedNet is Focusrite's new flagship range of audio-over-IP interfaces, based around the tried and tested Dante Ethernet audio networking system. Focusrite's RedNet is the first to offer IP network audio interfaces for the recording studio or any application that requires moving high-quality audio around with ultra-low latency.

RedNet AM2 is a compact Dante-compatible stereo monitoring unit, combining headphone and balanced line outputs for monitoring of signals from the Dante network. RedNet AM2 features a 1/4” front-panel TRS headphone socket plus a pair of rear-mounted balanced line outputs with male XLR connectors for loudspeaker monitoring and other applications. RedNet AM2 can be powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE) or via an external DC power supply (included). RedNet AM2 is ideal for adding headphone outputs to a studio-based system as well as offering a valuable solution for education, live sound and broadcast.

RedNet MP8R is an 8-channel remote-controlled microphone preamplifier and A/D for

RedNet D16R AES is a 1U, 19" rack-mount Dante interface featuring 16 channels of AES/EBU connectivity to and from the Dante audio network. Perfect for bridging between digital consoles, power amplifiers or any other AES3-equipped audio equipment and any Dante network, RedNet D16R has SRC (Sample Rate Conversion) on each input pair allowing plug-and-play operation with any AES3 source.
