Evans Drumheads: EC2 Tom Heads

D'Addario Core: How to Change and Tune a Tom Drumhead

Description
This pack includes a free 14" Coated HD Dry snare head. EVANS Genera HD Dry snare heads feature two plies of film. An outer ply of 5-mil film and an inner ply of 7.5-mil film, in combination with a 2-mil overtone control ring on the underside that "floats" with the head, eliminating excessive overtones and controlling sustain. Precision-drilled dry vents around the perimeter of head reduce overtones and control sustain.

Just put this set plus an additional 14" on my Mapex Armory Set. Excellent quality and build and the 360 heads sit right on and tune quick. FInger tight plus about a 1/2 turn on the toms was about perfect and they sound amazing. Snare head sounds great too. I'm using a steel snare and some of the pinging is gone now at the same tension as previous head. The pack with the "free" head is only online and not in stores but not a huge deal, took 2 days to get to my store.

Very defined attack with still a good amount of resonance.
