This is THE Les Paul model for Modern Rock and Metal players. Great breadth of tone shaping available with the Split Coil and Vintage/Modern push/pull knobs. Was looking at getting a PRS originally, since I already have other Les Paul's, but I picked this one up and just didn't want to put it down, so I bought it. Compared to other LPs, this one has a 24 Fret neck versus the standard 22, which also means the string length is that much longer too (seems to add to sustain IMO). This body also has a cutaway relief near the base of the neck that reminds me of the Les Paul Studio, and also has a belly cut on the back of the body which makes it more comfortable and lighter than the usual LP. Grover locking tuners are great too.
