Epiphone

Description

The Epiphone Les Paul Modern Pro brings the timeless power and style of the world’s most iconic electric guitar within reach of every player. Available exclusively at Guitar Center, this updated classic pairs authentic Gibson-inspired craftsmanship and a cool Wine Red finish with exceptional value. A mahogany body topped with maple delivers that legendary Les Paul resonance, while dual zebra Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers unlock everything from vintage crunch to modern clarity. Dressed in a sleek gloss finish with nickel hardware, a rosewood fretboard and a Kalamazoo-style headstock, it’s an unmistakable statement of vintage-inspired style and time-tested performance. With modern updates like push/pull coil-splitting, phase-switching and a fast SlimTaper C neck profile, the Les Paul Modern Pro isn’t just built to play—it’s built to inspire.

Mahogany Body With Maple Cap for Iconic Les Paul Tone

At its core, the Les Paul Modern Pro stays true to the classic Gibson recipe—a solid mahogany body capped with a maple top for a balanced blend of warmth, sustain and bite. The mahogany provides rich mids and deep resonance, while the maple top adds definition and sparkle that help chords and leads cut through a mix. The maple veneer gives the guitar a subtle yet elegant visual depth beneath the gloss finish. Together, these tonewoods deliver that unmistakable Les Paul sound—thick, harmonically rich and endlessly expressive, whether you’re dialing in classic blues grit or high-gain modern punch.

Fast, Comfortable SlimTaper Neck With Rosewood Fingerboard

The Les Paul Modern Pro’s ’60s SlimTaper C-profile neck offers the ideal blend of speed and comfort for modern players. Crafted from solid mahogany and topped with a smooth rosewood fingerboard, it feels immediately broken-in while maintaining a sturdy, responsive feel. Cream binding and pearloid trapezoid inlays lend a timeless look, while the 12" radius and medium frets provide effortless bends and low action across the neck. A Graph Tech nut enhances tuning stability and sustain, ensuring every note rings clear. Whether you’re riffing, soloing or laying down rhythm tracks, the Modern Pro neck keeps your playing fast, fluid and fatigue-free.

Versatile Alnico Classic PRO Pickups and Modern Electronics

Equipped with a pair of Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers, the Les Paul Modern Pro delivers a wide tonal palette suited to any genre. These zebra-coil pickups capture the punch and warmth of vintage PAFs while adding extra clarity for today’s dynamic playing styles. A push/pull control setup offers coil-splitting and phase switching, letting you move seamlessly from thick humbucker growl to single-coil sparkle. Combined with independent volume and tone knobs, the electronics provide precision control over your sound—perfect for players who need one guitar that can cover it all.

Premium Nickel Hardware Delivers Rock-Solid Reliability

Every detail of the Les Paul Modern Pro reinforces its pro-grade performance. Nickel Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney buttons ensure precise, stable tuning, while the LockTone ABR bridge and stopbar tailpiece maximize sustain and string resonance. The nickel plating complements the gloss finish for a timeless aesthetic that ages gracefully with use. Cream binding, a matching pickguard and gold top-hat knobs complete the classic Les Paul look. Built to handle both the stage and the studio, this guitar delivers premium reliability at a price that defies expectations.

The Les Paul Modern Pro: Exclusive Design, Legendary Sound

With its combination of premium tonewoods, modern electronics and time-honored craftsmanship, the Epiphone Les Paul Modern Pro stands out as a true performer’s instrument. The Modern Pro is an amazing guitar and value. The fit and finish is excellent, great action, and even the intonation was close. I am extremely impressed with the tapped humbuckers, Grover tuners, quality of the neck/ board, and especially happy with the slim tapered neck. I would have been happy to pay much more for a decent Les Paul, but after playing the Modern Pro, spending more was not necessary.

Plays amazing and can jump into any style with ease. Paired this with a Boss Katana amp and it works fantastic together. As always, adjust the action as it was a little high fresh out of the store.

  • Like a LP Traditional Pro but with gloss finish
