Featured in the Inspired by Gibson Collection, the Epiphone SG Standard recreates the legendary 1960s Gibson classic that fueled the first generation of hard rock and heavy metal bands. Now available at Guitar Center, the Epiphone SG Standard features the historic SG profile with "batwing" pickguard and is powered by Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers with CTS electronics and Grover Rotomatic tuners. With the Epiphone SG Standard, you can own your own piece of rock history, and play it, too.

1960s SlimTaper Neck Profile

The classic 1960s SlimTaper D neck profile is popular among Guitar Center customers. It's got a fast touch and smooth playability. The Epiphone SG Standard neck's mahogany construction extends the sonic depth of the mahogany body. It also includes an Indian laurel fretboard that adds to the guitar's vibrant tone and a Graph Tech nut.

Alnico Classic PRO Pickups

The Epiphone SG Standard is equipped with two Alnico Classic PRO pickups in the neck and bridge. Powered by their Alnico V magnets, these pickups help the Epiphone SG Standard grind out a plethora of sounds—from straight-up rock and roll to warm jazz. The pickups are also powered by CTS electronics for added power and tone.

Premium Hardware

Rounding out the Epiphone SG Standard is its premium hardware, including a stopbar tailpiece, LockTone ABR tune-o-matic bridge and Grover Rotomatic machine heads that deliver supreme tuning stability.

Other notable appointments include nickel hardware, trapezoid-style inlays, "batwing" pickguard and a Graph Tech nut.
