QuickSmartDSP Provides Best-in-Class Processing

At the heart of the ELX200-12P is Electro-Voice's acclaimed QuickSmartDSP, which offers powerful processing in an intuitive, easy-to-use interface. With just one knob, you can select from four pretuned presets—Music, Live, Speech and Club—or create up to five custom presets tailored to your needs. QuickSmartDSP also provides high-resolution input metering, master volume control and crossover settings for using the ELX200-12P with a subwoofer. For wireless control, the optional QuickSmart Mobile app lets you configure up to six ELX200 speakers simultaneously from the audience perspective.

Electro-Voice's patented Signal Synchronized Transducers (SST) waveguide places the ELX200-12P's tweeter in an optimal position in relation to the woofer, ensuring precise time alignment and coverage. The result is a wider soundstage, deeper bass response, minimized distortion and reduced enclosure resonance. The ELX200-12P's 12" heavy-duty woofer and 1.5" titanium compression driver provide full-range sound with exceptional vocal clarity and punchy low end.

Comprehensive Connectivity for any Application

The ELX200-12P provides a range of inputs, including combo XLR-1/4" jacks, RCA inputs and a 3.5 mm stereo input. Link out jacks allow you to connect multiple ELX200 speakers, while a mix out jack lets you send the ELX200-12P's signal to a separate mixer or subwoofer. With its flexible inputs, powerful DSP and lightweight portability, the Electro-Voice ELX200-12P is an all-in-one solution for any live sound need.

    I am using 6 of these ELX200-12Ps with the ELX200-15SP 15 in. Powered Subwoofer. All my sound guy friends say that this system is flawless and perfect. In small clubs I use 2 for mains and 3 or 4 for monitors depending on stage size. There are DSP switches to change the mode from a PA speaker on a stand, hanging on a wall, or to be used on the floor as a monitor. Also, there is a crossover DSP that matches it with the ELX200-15SP 15 in. Or a ELX200-12SP 12 in, or the big 18 inch ELX200, or even the EKX200-15SP 15 in Subs. It also has frequency selectable crossover DSPs to match the sub you are using. The EV Subs have the same DSP switches to match the mains. I am so happy I purchased this system. I had one gig that we used all 6 for the mains, 2 ELX200-12SP 12 in and the ELX200-15SP 15 in. to sound bigger that a football field not even pushing them beyond their capability. Rock on!

    I bought a pair of these a year ago and used them side by side with peavey dark matter 15" and JBL 15" and the EV's literally blew them away with clarity and sound levels! I was so impressed I bought 2 ELX 18" subs and am totally satisfied with the results I get running sound for my bands! Definitely will be getting 2 more subs also...

    Took a Mackie Thump back for these because Mackies clip and the lower end. These are consistently stable at all frequencies, with plenty of non-irritating treble at higher volumes like the cheaper speakers. Don't expect a great low end though, they are not made for it and the specs are clear. You'll never get the very low end bass you would with subs. That given, these are solid workhorse speakers that neither irritate your audience, nor bark back with unexpected frequency collapse or feedback because of a poor box design that amplifies odd frequency ranges.

    These powered speakers have it all! They each have 1200 watts of power and a great sounding 12' speaker but are still lightweight! They also have built-in DSP which gives you the ability to control presets for Music, Live, Speech, and Club, crossovers, and a three-band EQ. Not only that, but these speakers are Bluetooth enabled so you can control the DSP from your phone or a tablet!.... It is a good idea to also buy the Electro-Voice ELX200-18SP 18 in. Powered Subwoofer. I'm saving for that. these speakers are to work for a long time.
