According to the technical journal, Vacuum Tube Valley, "The Electro-Harmonix EL34EH is balanced throughout the entire music spectrum. Bass goes deep and is tight, mids are sweet and well defined, and highs are detailed and extended."

These are Electro-Harmonix EL34EH's in platinum matched sets. Their platinum matching process consists of a 24-hour tube burn-in period followed by a bias (plate) current measurement in milliamps.

    Bought this matched set for my original 1987 Marshall Silver Jubilee, and the tubes were absolutely gorgeous right out of the box. Tubes can be a hit or miss thing, and are subject to personal preference most of the time, but EH tubes are very reliable and great sounding.

    A couple weeks ago I replaced the original Marshall tubes in my JVM210C with a quartet of EH EL34's, after many years of service. I am very happy with them, and would recommend them any time.
