Presenting the New EVH 5150 Iconic Series Combos

Description
The EVH 5150 Iconic Series 15W 1X10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp brings Eddie Van Halen's signature high-gain tone within reach. This 15W combo is powered by a pair of ECC83 preamp tubes and a single 6L6 power tube, providing creamy overdrive and searing distortion.
Two Channels With Extra Gain Voicings
The 5150 Iconic Series combo features two independent channels, each with an extra gain voicing. The Green channel offers pristine cleans that can be pushed into overdrive at the touch of a button. The Red channel delivers saturated distortion that can be boosted into molten metal mayhem. Dial in your gain with the dedicated Gain controls and fine-tune the volume for each channel to your liking.
Shape Your Tone With Intuitive EQ
Shared EQ controls provide intuitive tone shaping for both channels. The 3-band EQ features dedicated Low, Mid and High knobs to dial in the perfect balance of bass, mids and treble. Global Resonance and Presence controls allow you to adjust the combo's low-end punch and high-frequency sizzle. Add depth and dimension with the built-in reverb, controlled by a single knob.
Useful Features for Practice and Performance
The 5150 Iconic Series combo includes useful features for practice and performance. An effects loop allows you to connect your favorite stompboxes and rack effects. A speaker-emulated line out provides a direct signal for recording or live use. A power reduction switch cuts the wattage in half for cranked tube tone at lower volumes. Dual speaker outs and selectable impedance allow you to connect the internal speaker, an external cab or both.
EVH-Voiced Speaker for Articulate Tone
The 5150 Iconic Series combo is equipped with a custom 10" Celestion speaker, voiced to complement the amp's preamp. The speaker produces tight bass, present mids and cutting highs that shine through distorted tones. Special internal cabinet bracing enhances the speaker's low-end response, providing a solid tonal foundation.

AMAZING 15-WATT TUBE AMP

This amp sounds awesome. It's very loud too. Luckily there is a 1/4 power level switch. I prefer keeping it on full power most of the time. Thanks to the master volume, you can get really nice clean tones on Channel 1. I've yet to play a single coil through it, but I imagine it would sound great, giving you some Fenderish tones. The overdrive on Channel 1 is very smooth all the way to 10. Channel 2 I would expect, is for melting faces. Use the Burn Button and you'll be melting entire audiences. The EQ works well, and the Resonance and Presence smooth out those highs and lows. The reverb is okay. No spring reverb here. Oh yeah, playing Van Halen through this amp does sound great. It will take you from 1978 to Van Hagar in under 60 seconds. I'm no Eddie, but I can play a little. There is an effects loop. I have not tried it yet. So, if you want a tube amp that's not vintage/boutique expensive, and you want a little more umph than one of those clean sounding amps. Get this. You can play anything from The Bee Gees to The Kinks, to Chicago, to Steely Dan, to The Allman Brothers, to VH, to Ozzy, to Scorpion and even heavier. According to some dude on YouTube, this amp chugs. Remember, Joe Walsh is an Analog Man.
I would buy this Amplifier again! Awesome!!!

When I first tried this amp out, I was blown away by the sound and power this 15w 1x10 had. Been in the market for a tube amp for a while and didn't need anything big since I play for a hobby, not a gigging player. I got tired of my Marshall solid state and never thought of a 5150 amp till I saw a review online for it and was curious. So a few months later I ended up buying one and do not regret it. This has a 1/4 power switch for your bedroom playing and it's still loud. It has a clean channel with an overdrive switch and a overdrive channel with a burn switch for those really heavy and soaring leads. Really happy with this amp and think it's great for hard rock and metal from the 80's and 90's and maybe even today's if you tweak it right.
Fantastic & clear

I play melodeath and this Iconic is amazing once it's dialed in. Very articulate, very clear. My secret tip is crank the green channel and overdrive with the "burn." Also red channel gain at 4 is enough. Fireball25 a little better for chug but Iconic is so cool by being shiny/bright.

Don't let the 10" speaker turn you off. This thing is the perfect practice amp that can also get loud enough for small gigs. I have a similar amp with a 12" speaker and at bedroom volumes it sounds muddy. This thing sounds great at low volumes and when cranked. It doesn't have a ton of clean headroom, but be honest. That's not what you're buying this for. The gain on this thing is amazing and you will be cutting through the mix with its mid push.
