    I love the sound and output of this PJX set. No humming noise at all . I would recommend to have a tech install them unless you are experienced in doing it.

    I have a set of these pickups installed in a Alvarez 4 string bass that I picked up in a Pawnshop. The bass had EMG designed pickups in it but I wanted the real deal so I bought a set of these and installed them. The difference between the old tone and the new tone was mind boggling! Just as described in the product description they are super clear sounding with crunchy mids and tight bottom end. The only thing that bothered me was that my bass had to to be routed so the pickups would fit. I play grunge rock and metal and would love a set of these in a Warwick 4 string bass! These pickups may not work for all genres and styles. Always try before you buy if you are unsure what kind of pickups work best for the genre of music you play. All in all EMG has another satisfied customer in me and have done it again! Great work EMG!!

    These pickups sound great! I do want to let you know that I had a problem with the volume pots. I thought that I had wired the pots in wrong but it ended up that the pots were bad. EMG was good about correcting the problem and sent me replacement pots. I am very pleased with the pickups and the response from EMG.
