Smaller and lighter than other slides. Try before you buy.

I am a beginner to slide guitar and was looking for a punchy sound with my first slide purchase. I am happy with the sound the chromed brass produces, but I have to say it is very heavy for my taste and for ease of use. I subsequently bought a ceramic slide that is easier to use, but it does lack the crisper tones the metal brings. If you don't mind the weight, it is a great slide with a good sound.

This slide is awesome! Perfect ID for my finger, perfect weight; most slides are too light;like the sustain the thick walled chromed brass gives. This one stays with my "open D tuned" guitar for the blues!

I tried a Dunlop 215 glass and a 222 brass, both sounded tinney. They I tried a 228 Chromed Brass. Great tone on a Les Paul Standard. It has a shorter profile that I like, I am able to cover only the strings that I am playing. It is a heavy slide, a lot of bulk, a plus for me, I think it adds to the tone and sustain.
