I played the same kit I ordered at the local guitar center, it's sounds great! Dw makes great stuff and they could be put in any application of music. Very easy to tune. Fantastic drums if I could ever get them to show up at my house.
Amazing set, Sounds great and looks fantastic

First of all, I was expecting a 22 inch bass drum, 14 inch snare, 12 inch rack Tom, and 16 inch floor Tom. I got the floor Tom and the rack Tom, but the bass drum cameron it at 24 inches, and i got no snare, but another floor Tom which is 14 inches, and without legs. This is completely unacceptable considering the amount of money I paid to get the worst experience of my life. I'm normally not greedy but dang I sort of expect a whole new free drumset.
Perfect professional series kit at an affordable price.

I been a DW fan boy since I first seen their products in 2004. As I got older and more experienced, I wanted to upgrade my drum kit to either a Tama, SJC, or DW kit. My child hood drummers used DW kits and I was blown away when I saw the drums in a concert setting. I remember my first visit to Guitar Center there was a beautiful green acrylic DW kit on the show room floor. I sat in it and I immediately got this vibe that I cannot explain. I told myself, I am going to have a DW kit some day. Fast forward to this year, I realized my 12 year old Ludwig Accent kit with ZBT/B8 Cymbals needed to be upgraded. I shopped around and picked this kit along with the 9000 double pedals and hi hat stand. I ordered the kit from the Guitar Center in San Diego and it arrived within 10 days. I changed the drum heads and I was blown away by the sound. The sound just explodes especially outdoors.

I've wanted a DW Performance series for about 5 years now, and as soon as I got it, it was everything and more than I could've asked for. The kit plays amazingly and just sounds fantastic. The drums give back to you with response and hold a great tone without muffling. Great kit for a multitude of genres and uses from metal and hard rock, to funk and R&B.
Why pay more for average performance?

I had a lot of expectations upgrading from the maple PDP LX kit that I've played for the last 5 years and few were met. The drums and hardware are of sturdier make than the PDP kit but as far as tuning goes I ended up with more or less the same sound that I had with the other kit despite trying out 3 different combinations of resonant and batter heads. The snare has an annoying overtone that was very difficult to get rid of. My expectation was that DW drums would sound better but I ended up with something that certainly looks cooler but doesn't sound any better than what I had and my old kit cost half of what I paid for these.

Hello, My question is, I would like to order the performance series snare drum which is sold individually on your site. However I want it in this tabacco stain and I'm Not getting that option. Can just the snare be ordered? Thanks.
It's possible this finish can be ordered but you would need to submit a special order request.
