A variety of picks is a simple way to improve the sound of your guitar, especially the acoustic guitar. The serrated edge really has a tone that is similar to the 12 string to my ears,. I first used these type 30 years ago starting out and I still have one of those . I gave a few to my brothers grandson ( who has only been playing 6 months) and he loved the tone as well. I really like these picks.
Different shaped eges offer greater flexablity and utility.

I've long liked picks shaped like this. All the stores had them back when they first came out, and I've missed having easy retail access to them. I like them in the same thickness that I like other picks, which for me is quite thin. I just find the different edges good for different things. Sometimes you want to easily slip over the top of the strings... other times you want to grab a bit. I find them versatile that way.
excellent performance and tone from this pick

I wanted to try out these picks for the longest time, but it wasn't too simple finding the right ones.. They are not for the meek,LOL. Takes a few seconds to adjust your hands to the weird shape, but very responsive to deepen tone and sharp attack
excellent in every way and tones

It took a few seconds to get used to it, but it sounds like nothing I heard before

Been bitten by a sharkfin back in the 70's and have been forever scared. I'll never go back to a regular pic, there that addicting.

Have not seen anyone else but me running "S" fins in the last 10yrs..whats up with that, yes they appear weird and strange to play at first but when one uses the serated edge it gives you a bright bite combined with a semi rhythm pluck fused with a manuel chorus sound.Great on acoustic guitars with dead strings but way more effective on a good gat with new broken in strings.Have developed my own unique signature strum sequences with the fin & dont use any other type of pick unless I have too.. the yellow .73mm is my weapon of choice as its great at parties if if you drop them they are easier to find in the dark.I find they do wear and after one night of going hard playin guitar I find I can usually wear off 2 serated edges but its worth it and finally thank god for the internet as these picks are nowhere to be found in Vancouver.B.C so will order myself an "S" load an let the parties roll on into the nights this summer!I always give away sharkfin picks to other guitarist to explore the possible benefits an develope ones sound perhaps maybe thats why I always run out so to all you gat poeple out there "stay nimble" I hope my humble words are of use to someone.
