How to Put a Capo on Your Guitar

How To Use a Capo on Your Guitar

What Is A Guitar Capo and What Does It Do?

Description
The D'Addario NS Reflex Capo is an innovative capo designed for buzz-free, in-tune playing at every fret. The NS Reflex Capo's patent-pending Side-Action geometry distributes pressure evenly across the neck, eliminating the pulling and detuning that plagues standard capos. Combined with a micrometer tension adjustment, the Reflex Capo applies just the right amount of force for your instrument. Constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, the capo adds a negligible 1.5 ounces to your guitar, so you'll barely notice it's there until you need to change positions. The integrated pick holder keeps your favorite plectrum close at hand. The NS reflex capo is created by legendary designer Ned Steinberger.
Precision Tension Adjustment for Flawless Intonation
The Reflex Capo's patented tension adjustment mechanism lets you dial in the perfect amount of pressure for your guitar's neck. Turn the adjustment dial to increase or decrease tension in minute increments until all strings ring clearly in tune. Once set, the capo retains your customized tension setting for consistent performance and tone.
Ultra-Lightweight Aircraft-Grade Aluminum
Constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, the NS Reflex Capo weighs a mere 1.5 ounces. Its lightweight, minimalist design adds virtually no bulk to your guitar's neck, allowing unimpeded access to higher frets. The capo's streamlined profile also makes it easier to position single-handedly.
Integrated Pick Holder
The NS Reflex Capo features an integrated pick holder to keep your favorite plectrum within easy reach. Stash an extra pick in the holder for quick changes on stage or in the studio.
Legendary Design and Craftsmanship
Created by acclaimed designer Ned Steinberger, the D'Addario NS Reflex Capo embodies his signature style of elegant, ergonomic design and flawless functionality. Steinberger's innovations have made him a legend in the music world, and the NS Reflex Capo lives up to his exacting standards for quality and performance.

Very Good Capo
This is a really good Capo very easy to use it fits the neck profile on my Martin D-28 and other Dreadnought guitars perfectly. The only flaw that I have with this Capo is it you have to carefully place it to avoid string buzz and tightening the spring doesn't really do a lot to eliminate it so I leave the spring completely Loose as possible and just get the adjustment right as close to the Fret as I can.
Most Liked Negative Review
It is easy to use but would not buy again.
This Capo is easy to put on the guitar and move between the frets. However, it's s hard to keep strings from buzzing. There are better Capo choices out there.

I bought this in my search for an adjustable capo and I couldn't be happier. Someone at GC suggested this when I returned the G7th Performance 3 capo, which just didn't work for me at all. D'addario did really well with this. It's very thin, which helps keep it out of my way a bit when it's on the neck and I'm playing close to it. Since the tension is adjustable, I'm able to use it without putting my guitar out of tune, which is why I was looking for an adjustable capo in the first place. I've tested it on a Tele, two acoustics, and a classical guitar and it works great on all of them. And the two pick holders are a nice touch.

I am a beginner guitar player becoming an intermediate. A year ago I had 0 guitars and now have 4 with my eye on another. The didarrio capo adds another layer/deminsion to my playing abilities. Really enjoying the addition.

The fact that you can easily adjust the tension of this capo is what makes it so versatile. Being able to instantly dial in the perfect tension for whatever guitar you use it on makes this a stellar product. I love it.

I won several capos. This one performs very well - nice to be able to adjust tension easily. Pick holders come in handy too! Definitely recommend. #sweepstakes
