D'Addario Humiditrak Bluetooth Humidity and Temperature Sensor

Description
Humiditrak uses a patent-pending Bluetooth sensor to provide a constant stream of temperature, humidity, and impact data to the free smart phone app to alert you of hazardous conditions that can lead to diminished playability, costly repairs, and lost value to your instrument.
When Humiditrak detects dangerous conditions, push notifications are sent to your device allowing you to take corrective action before damage occurs. Cataloging and monitoring a collection of instruments is so easy and convenient, you’ll want one for every instrument you own.

Works great!
I purchased a high end acoustic guitar and wanted it properly humidified. The D'Addario Humiditrak humidity and temperature sensor was on clearance at Guitar Center. Although I wondered if 'clearance' meant no one was buying these, I bought one at a great price. I also purchased and installed a humidifier for my new guitar. Download of the app to my iPhone and set up was no problem at all. I installed the senser in my guitar case. It's great that I can read the current humidity and temperature in my case along with a history of hourly, daily and monthly highs, lows and averages. Before I placed the sensor in my guitar case, I placed the sensor next to my good home weather station for a couple of days and compared readings. The sensor's temperature reading was basically spot-on and its humidity reading was sometimes identical and sometimes different by only a percent or two. I'm now confident that I'm getting good sensor readings from inside my guitar case.

Nice Idea
I live in a humidity extreme part of the US where the summer humidity can be 95%+ and must be controlled by A/C and the furnace can dry out the winter air to 30%. Since I am now using the D'Addario Two-Way Humidipaks recommended by Taylor, I wanted to keep an eye on my gutar's environment and bought the Humiditrak. Per the instructions, I downloaded the app to my iPad and sync'd the sensor to the iPad. The sensor immediately began reading the humidity and temperature and the readings were clearly visible on the iPad. I used the included Velcro to attach the sensor to the inside of the guitar case and closed the lid. After continuing to get excessively high humidity readings, I put a known accurate hygrometer along side the sensor and found the Humiditrak was consistently 5% higher than the accurate hygrometer. Since +5% is in the D'Addario tolerances, all seems ok. When I check the readings on my iPad I just subtract the the 5% and have a fairly accurate humidity result. For the record the the temperature reading is right on.

I LOVE them, yes them, will be buying more. Using in the case when humidity gets high in the house, and keeps track of "dings". I believe it is much more accurate than the other one "in" the guitar.
Works great with my Z Fold android.

Excellent. I cross-checked it with several humidity recorders and the humidifiers I already use. (I'm a little paranoid about my guitars. It was accurate +/- 5% to them all.
Won't pair with my iPhone.

Went through the setup multiple times and never got it to pair with the app on my iPhone. Will be returning.

Don't need to open up the case to see if the temp or humidity is off. Just open the app on your phone and see!
