The Aquila has a resonant cavity rather than a solid hard body, which results in a sense of familiarity that the "planks" don't quite deliver. In terms of response, it more closely resembles the feel of an acoustic instrument. In terms of sound and presence, the electronics are field-tested by seasoned performers and the preset output is perfect for heavily amplified performance environments.
