Description
The Gator G-Pro Roto Mold Rack Case is an ideal choice to give your rackmountable music gear the ultimate protection during and between gigs. The cases' roto-molded polythylene design makes these Gator cases virtually indestructible. The front and rear have removable lids that are kept in place by recessed Penn Elcom twist latches. The rest of the Gator G-Pro case is fastened together with heat-treated 10/32 screws and protective washers. Molded-in, ergonomic side screws make it easy to move your music gear around. When you get to your destination, the Gator G-Pro Roto Mold Rack Case is conveniently stackable with other Gator cases.

    I purchased this unit to make a ham radio go kit for emergency operations. Very pleased with the construction. Ordered 2 racks to go with it and it will have plenty of room for the gear I need to take with me. The only thing that I'm concerned about is the latching mechanism. Pkysicall, the locking mechanism is great. However, it is mounted in the center of the cover, which causes the center part of the cover to fit snugly but bows out at the top and bottom. It still closes, but will not be as weather-tight as it could have been if there was a different latch configuration. All in all it will still work well for what I have planned.

    Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against plastic. The Gator case that I bought both sides don't fit tight (gap in one side when closed) otherwise I would give it a 5 star. I believe it will protect my amps but how long before it becomes loose enough to not stay closed?
