great product

This product works great, buy the cutting tool,only way to really have this come out good. I have installed 3 of these.Place head on a small block of wood,install outer ring, as per instructions,flip head over, install inner ring, and carefully use 2 screwdrivers to work the lock ring into place till it snaps in, all the way around. looks, and works great.

Absolute garbage

I ruined my 22" resonant head attempting to install the port O. The problem occurs when installing the female (flat ring from the backside. This needs to fit underneath the lip of the male, which is not possible due to the double side tape adhesive strip thickness. Because of this, the back port O will not fit underneath the lip. I Attempted to use a flat head screwdriver to fit it around and it would pop off on the opposite side. Even with another person helping to hold the opposite side down, it was not possible and the screwdriver lid off with excessive pressure and dented/punctured the resonant head. Now it looks like sh*&. The only solution was to remove the adhesive strip on the back, then it was an instant fit. Obviously a product defect. You would be better off just using an x-acto knife and coffee can to cut the hole and be done with it. The single worst drum accessory on the market today. I would only recommend this product to an enemy.

    The outer ring cracked during installation and I could not remove the adhesive from my brand new printed drum head. Just reordered my printed head…this cheep product just gave me the privilege of spending $100 to replace what was a thoughtful birthday present.

    The back ring was too small to fit the front ring. I had no choice but to take off the front ring which resulted in the adhesive completely stripping my coated resonant head clear. Now I'll either have to buy another one of these to cover up tear or just buy a completely new head.
